As a native Iowan,
Angie's range of professional experience
is broad. For the past 16 years, she has
been practicing landscape architecture
in the Southern California region and
has been involved with numerous
nationally recognized, award-winning
projects. As a licensed landscape
architect, Angie has designed and
managed projects of varying scales and
complexities. Her experience includes
coordination with diverse user groups in
dense urban environments, balancing
client needs, and exploring new ways of
using materials. Angie helped design
sustainable landscapes in damaged or
stressed environments, while navigating
the labyrinth of special interests and
complicated legislation. This careful
consideration of multiple variables as
well as the close collaboration with
professionals from many disciplines has
resulted in the creation of many
lasting, memorable places.
Most
recently, during the 2010-2011 academic
year, Angie has been teaching the
Landscape Architecture construction
courses at Iowa State University,
College of Design, and Department of
Landscape Architecture. This is
especially fulfilling as Angie is a
graduate of ISU's BLA/MLA program.
