Grant first joined the
gēnus
team as an intern and has now become a
Project Landscape Architect. He is a
2007 graduate of Iowa State University
with degrees in landscape architecture
and horticulture. Passions for urban
design, historical interpretation, and
fine arts are Grant's driving design
interests, which lead him to studies in
Rome, Italy and with a First Nations
group in northwestern Idaho. Grant is a
LEED Accredited
Professional and strives to incorporate
sustainable design practices in
landscape architecture.
A hobby interest in video and web-based communication turned professional when Grant developed a digital art tour for the University Museums at ISU. The project has been recognized at state and national levels with ASLA design awards in communication and Grant has been invited to speak at several symposiums about his work.
When not working, Grant enjoys growing food at a
local community garden and working with
the Polk County Master Gardeners.
